7月１４日と言えば? １４th July?
何十年も前に7月１５日の朝方、東京からパリに着いたことがあります。
街全体が眠っているような何とも言えない静けさが、１４日のパリ祭の賑わいを物語っていました。
やはり何十年も前の7月１４日の晩にパリに居合わせた時、人で溢れたパリの町の中で音楽に合わせた花火を観ました。
日本にはない革命の歴史を持つフランスを異国だと感じる日です。
Many years ago, I arrived in Paris in the morning of 15th of June.
There was an unexplainable silence throughout the city that hinted the din and bustle of Fourteenth of July.
Also a long time ago, I was in Paris on the 14th of July and saw the fireworks with the crowd.
As a citizen of Japan which never had a revolution, it is a day that makes France seem very foreign.
